A breakfast meal is always considered to be the most satisfying meal for the day as it needs to be eaten in good proportion. There are a lot of times when parents find it difficult to make kids eat, given the limited time in between their wake-up time and office/school time. We also tend to feed them with the traditional daily breakfast that we prepare for the family, intending on the fact that this could develop the practice in having our children eat the same quality of food that we do in the future.

Ingredients we need are: 

  1. 1 big-sized banana or 3 small-sized bananas
  2. some brown sugar
  3. Butter
  4. Wheat flour
  5. Baking powder
  6. pinch of salt
  7. 1 cup of milk

Procedure:

  1. Take a bowl and mash the bananas
  2. Add some brown sugar, wheat flour, butter, a pinch of salt to it
  3. Keep stirring the mixture and add a cup of milk little by little to get the batter
  4. Now, make use of a cooking pan to get those pancakes ready
  5. Once done, you can add some honey to it, and there it’s done- banana pancakes are ready!.

  3. Pour this stirred liquid into a cooking pan and re-stir it for 4-5 minutes under a slow flame. Allow the liquid to turn into a jelly-like, semi-solid mix.

  1. Different types of dals-Toor, Urud, Masoor, Gram, Rajma ½ cup each
  2. 1 spoon chopped ginger 
  3. Cloves
  4. Cumin seeds

Procedure:

  1. Add Toor, Urud, Masoor, Gram, Rajma, etc and add some ginger, cloves, cumin seeds, and a pinch of salt in a grinder
  2. Grind the mixture to a fine paste such that you get a Dhosa batter
  3. Heat a pan and add the batter, spread it

  1. 4-5 Sweet potatoes
  2. 2 eggs
  3. Brown sugar/ jaggery

Procedure:

  1. You will need to pressure cook the sweet potatoes for 3 whistles and mash them once done
  2. Add 2 eggs and brown sugar or jaggery to form a consistent batter

Banana Chocolate Chip Bread

Ingredients we need are:

  1. 2 large over-ripe bananas, mashed
  2. ½ cup Greek yogurt
  3. ½ cup butter, (equivalent to 1 stick of butter) melted
  4. ½ cup white sugar
  5. 2 large eggs
  6. 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  7. 1 and ½ cups all-purpose flour
  8. 1 teaspoon baking soda
  9. ½ teaspoon salt
  10. 1 cup semi-sweet chocolate chips

Procedure:

  1. Preheat the oven and lightly butter a loaf pan.
  2. Mash the bananas in a large mixing dish. Combine yoghurt, melted butter, and eggs in a mixing bowl. To blend the ingredients, whisk them together. Mix in the sugar and vanilla extract.
  3. Combine the flour, baking soda, and salt in a large mixing bowl.
  4. Mix the dry components into the wet ingredients gradually
  5. Add the cup of cup chocolate chips and stir
  6. Fill a greased loaf pan halfway with batter and top with the remaining chocolate chips.
  7. Bake for 50 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted in the middle comes out clean.
  8. Remove the loaf from the oven and set aside for 15 minutes to cool before removing it from the pan.
